Biography

Kimberley Nixon was born in Bristol on 24th September 1985, which makes her 24 years old. She has 6 brothers and is the only girl. Despite being born in Bristol, Kimberley was raised in Wales. Kimberley attended Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, graduating in 2007. She is also a former member of the National Youth Theatre of Wales. Just before she graduated she was cast as Sophy Hutton in Cranford, a BBC drama starring big name such as Dame Judi Dench, Imelda Staunton and Simon Woods.

Landing her first role started a chain reaction, she got an agent and was cast in Wild Child before she’d even finished filming Cranford. Kimberley was cast as Kate, a kind-hearted and popular girl. Wild Child also featured big names such as Emma Roberts, Alex Pettyfer and Juno Temple. The movie was mostly filmed in England but some of it in Los Angeles. When filming wrapped up Kimberley and her fellow co-stars left as firm friends.

Kimberley was then cast as the complete opposite of Kate from Wild Child, this time she was cast as Lindsay, the bitchy girl in Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging which is based on the best-selling novels by Louise Rennison.

In 2008 Kimberley took up three new, very different projects. Her first one being a feature-length film called Easy Virtue set in the 1920s. Once again starring big names such as Narnia’s Ben Barnes, Bridget Jones Diary’s Colin Firth and oscar nominee, Kristin Scott Thomas. Kimberley played the role of Hilda Whittaker, the British sister of John Whittaker. Kimberley then started her first stage preformance of ‘Griet’ for the stage adaption of Girl With a Pearl Earring.

Kimberley was then cast in Cherrybomb with Harry Potter star, Rupert Grint. This film was a very different route for Kimberley playing a “manipulative vixen” called Michelle.
