New Event: “Cherrybomb” – Private Screening

Kimberley and her fellow castmates all attended a screening for Cherrybomb which opens in the UK on Friday so please support the film and Kimberley by going to see it, if you can. Also I’m keeping my fingers crossed for a big premiere so hopefully I have that to come.

Cherrybomb to be screened Cannes film festival

Kimberley’s latest film, Cherrybomb will be premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in France. It will open at the Riviera on Thursday, May 14, 2009 at 9:30am local time. I’m very excited about this, hopefully Cherrybomb will be picked up by a film company and you all will be able to watch this wonderful film. Also the Cannes Film Festival is lovely and has lovely little portrait shoots so if Kim does attend hopefully we’ll get one of those!

Now I have no idea whether Kimberley will attend or not but I’m hoping she will and will be trying to find out for all you lovely people who visit. So let just keep our fingers and toes crossed.

Thank you to our elite affiliate, Rupert-Grint.us, for the head’s up.

Cherrybomb stuff

I’m sorry for the lack of updates, my poor laptop broke so I have to use the slowest computer in the history of computers. Anyways I went to see Cherrybomb at the Belfast film festival and it was bloody brilliant, I’m in the middle of  writing a review so stay tuned for that!
Next up the official trailer for Cherry Bomb was released and I’ve added it to our media archive and will add caps to our gallery tomorrow.

Thanks to Cherrybomb.org I have two new interview for you which I will add to our press archive which I will unveil tomorrow.

Kimberley Nixon is criminally underrated. The 23-year-old actress has flourished in just about every genre into which she has ventured: she got excellent reviews as Sophy Hutton in the recent adaptation of Cranford, is delightfully bitchy in both Angus, Thongs, and Perfect Snogging and Wild Child, and looks set to be completely and utterly awesome in the more independent upcoming films Cherrybomb and Easy Virtue (her costar in which film, Ben Barnes, we spoke to recently as well!). There’s a lot to be said about her… but how about we let her speak for herself?

Also funny thing, I love how the called her English when she’s Welsh.

One minute I was an impoverished student in Cardiff, the next I was at Shutters on the Beach, a five-star hotel in Santa Monica, shooting Wild Child. It felt like a dream, and it still does.

That’s why I’m not ashamed to feel a naff excitement about travelling. The first thing I do in a new city is to join all the Japanese tourists on the bus tour. That way, I feel like I own the place, and can cherry-pick what else to see. And if I collect any more fridge magnets from my travels, I’ll have to buy a bigger fridge.

I grew up in the Welsh Valleys — the only girl among six brothers — so holidays were always in a caravan in Tenby, where I was ritually carried down the beach and thrown into the sea. Lots of brilliant memories, but it means I’m not an actor who complains about living out of a suitcase. I spent six straight months on location last year, and I loved every hotel I stayed in. You can get used to having your bed made for you, believe me.

Anyways, all for now folks. I’m so glad we have two new interviews and the trailer!
